Schwarzlot Large Victorian Enameled Grape Rinser
A super unusual Bohemian piece, this late Victorian grape rinser - possibly made in Germany by Josef Lenhardt (unsigned) - in the Shwarzlot style is a wonderful decorative piece. We thought it made an excellent candle or wine bottle holder! The lead glass is engraved and enameled in black and shows a countryside scene featuring a horse-drawn carriage. The base of the rinser has a ground pontil which shows the glass is hand crafted. Due to its age some of the enamel has worn from the surface and there are a couple of minor scratches to the glass, although overall this does not detract from the aesthetic of the piece which is still a fantastic and unusual item.
